Bad Ideas Productions: The Salesman, LIMP KNIGHT and a Mushroom

Bad Ideas grew into a game studio, and some of the designs in the store come from its games. Here's what Bad Ideas Productions is, and what it has made so far.

What is Bad Ideas Productions?

It's an indie studio I co-founded in late 2025 with producer Mary Haley. We describe it as focused on "memorable and unconventional games and experiences that challenge expectations." I'm the Studio Director, Writer and Sound Designer.

What is The Salesman?

The Salesman is our first game, released on November 13, 2025 on Steam. It's a psychological horror game where you play a recently laid-off employee who trades their belongings for ad-supported replacements.

What is LIMP KNIGHT?

LIMP KNIGHT is a comedic narrative adventure, coming soon on Steam. The war is over, and you limp home one leg at a time, collecting fantastical sticks and reading letters from your wife. I'm the director, writer and sound designer, and Mary is the producer and programmer. Two designs in the store come from it: Limp Knight Logo and Straight Up Limping It.

What is Mushroom Kid's Big Grass Sword?

A third studio game, where you play as a mushroom on a quest to save their village.
