What Is Bad Ideas? Jonny RaZeR, the Series and the Studio
"Bad Ideas" sounds like a warning. For Jonny RaZeR fans, it's a whole brand. Here's a quick guide to the name behind our merch.
Who is Jonny RaZeR?
Jonny RaZeR is a YouTuber and comedian. His own bios sum him up in three words: YouTuber, comedian, Bad Ideas. Next to his main channel, his shorts channel goes by "Bad Ideas" too.
Where does the name come from?
From his first big series on YouTube. In Jonny's own words, Bad Ideas was the series "where I'd break down ridiculous concepts for movies and games." The name stuck, and then it grew.
What is Bad Ideas Productions?
It's the indie game studio Jonny co-founded in late 2025 with producer Mary Haley. The studio describes itself as focused on "memorable and unconventional games and experiences that challenge expectations," with Jonny as studio director, writer and sound designer.
Which games has the studio made?
- The Salesman: the first one, released on November 13, 2025. A psychological horror game where you play a recently laid-off employee who trades their belongings for ad-supported replacements.
- LIMP KNIGHT: a comedic narrative adventure, coming soon. The war is over, and you limp home one leg at a time, collecting fantastical sticks and reading letters from your wife.
- Mushroom Kid's Big Grass Sword: a third studio game, about a mushroom on a quest to save their village.
So what's the merch?
A mix of the Bad Ideas logos, the LIMP KNIGHT logo and a pile of loud, deliberately terrible meme designs. It's for anyone who believes the best ideas usually start out as bad ones.
